A Week That Is Full of Surprises

A week had passed and there were lots of things happened. Some were happy and gay while the others were sad and lonely. However, there were also things that surprised me. Things that unusual to happen and unbelievable. But whatever they were, they still brought lessons in my life.

First to mention was that we had our flag ceremony inside the gym. We usually have it on the basketball court inside our school. We also had suspension of classes due to “Typhoon Juan” last Tuesday. It was quite relaxing for us. No one expected for it. Thanks to Hon. Mon Andaman, mayor of Maragondon. I’m also surprise when I’m able to have a back-to-back answer to our test in English the next day, because I only study for almost one hour.

One of the unforgettable surprises was the mass cheating of one of the sections in our batch. I can’t believe that my best friend and the guy that I admire most were included. And because of that, I was turned off with my crush. My classmates also admitted that they cheated during our Periodical Test last year. Though months were already passed, still the impact of it was fresh. I was disappointed for them.

Lastly, the most heart breaking surprise for me was when my cousin died. She was only 6 years old and might turn seven this December 5. She was diagnosed having meningitis. Doctor said that if she can survive, she might be like a withered vegetable or somewhat bedridden. Truly this was surprising and astonishing.
